I've just run into this now after being disconnected during (apparently) ongoing DDOS attacks.
After closing the WoW client, I can't launch the game again. The launch button says 'Update', and clicking it makes the Battle.NET app start scanning game files. At the end of scanning, there's another error with the 'BLZBNTAGT00000BB8' error code. The button then just goes back to 'Update'.
I tried everything suggested here to fix it;
- Uninstalled BNET
- Deleted all local temp data related to Blizzard or Battle.Net
- Deleted all .IDX files from the WoW data folder
- Restarted computer just because why not
- Redownloaded and installed BNET app

Still the issue persists, and it's not possible to launch the game at all. Can somebody confirm if the game scanning step is now also failing due to the DDOS attack, and I just have to wait it out, or if this is a different issue. I'd really like to avoid redownloading the whole game. Plex media server free.

There are no known issues with my network or computer and I've never experienced this before.
